Specifications CPP

The CPP – CMP – DMP – AM5 series metering pumps by POMPE CUCCHI have been designed and built to solve those metering problems that arise in various industrial sectors, with precision and safety. Our technicians’ fundamental attitudes in the realization of the pumps were: maximum reliability, remarkable metering precision, minimum maintenance. The CPP (piston) and CMP (diaphragm) metering pumps essentially consist of: GEARMOTOR UNIT with a V-18 electric motor form in compliance with UNEL-MEC standards with wattage from 0.18 KW, 0.25 and 0.55 KW. The motors are normally external, three-phase, 4-pole 50 Hz, closed and ventilated, with IP 55 protection. However, motors can be applied in versions that differ in voltage, frequencies and protection, as well as Ex-d. Worm-helical wheel type speed reducer, with oil bath lubrication – ball bearing supporting – reduction ratios suitable for obtaining the piston rates indicated in the selection tables and for the power of the motor that is installed; also in this case, gearboxes can be used with reduction ratios that are suitable for obtaining cadences that are different from the standard ones. MECHANICAL FLOW VARIATION GROUP of the spring type controlled by an eccentric; this determines the advancement of the piston for its entire stroke, while the spring in continuous tension causes the return movement of the piston or the suction phase. The flow rate variation is obtained by partializing the piston excursion by moving the plate connected to the piston away from the eccentric and thus preventing the eccentric from developing the maximum stroke of the piston. The control unit, enclosed in an aluminum body, is lubricated by means of an oil bath. Flow rate adjustment is continuous from 0 to 100% and can be carried out both when the pump is not running and during operation: via manual adjustment on the knob; via an oil-pneumatic servo control with a 3-15 psi adjustment signal; via an electric servo control as per a 4-20 mA control signal. via an application of a frequency inverter with a 4 ÷ 20 MA input signal for the regulation of the motor rotation speed. Different pump bodies can be connected to form multiple metering groups each with independent regulation. METERING GROUP The pumping head is connected to the pump body by means of an intermediate lantern which excludes the possibility of the pumped liquid coming into contact with the pump body and therefore with the control mechanism of the pump itself. SAFETY VALVES in stainless steel or PVC with threaded or flanged UNI, ANSI or DIN connections. PNEUMATIC ACCUMULATORS in materials suitable for the fluid, where a constant and non-pulsating flow is required. PACKAGE METERING SYSTEMS complete with tanks of different capacities and including: filling lid; exhaust valve; visual level indicator; and possibly: minimum level alarm; filters; shut-off valves; safety valves; agitators. On the metering pumps of the CPP – CMP – DMP – AM5 series it is possible to obtain variations in flow rate even with variable speed motors, i.e. by varying the cadence of the piston. This system allows for double adjustment both on the piston stroke and on the number of piston strokes. It is also possible to do batch meterings by applying a proximity contact to the pump; this emits an impulse at each stroke of the piston; the number of strokes – therefore of volumes – necessary to obtain the pre-established quantity of product is preselected on an impulse counter. When this number is reached the pump stops and the totalizer is automatically put back to zero. The construction of this series of metering pumps complies with the 2006/42/CE, 2014/30/UE, 2014/35/UE directives and with the UNI EN ISO 12100, UNI EN ISO 13732-1, UNI EN 809, UNI EN standards. ISO 14847. On request, versions compliant with the 2014/34/EU (ATEX) directive; it is also available with EAC (CU TR 010) – CU TR 012 certification. The quality system of Pompe Cucchi Srl operates in accordance with the ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
